I own a case explicitly a little odd. Instead of having a solid piece of plastic where on earth the cd comes out of (and where you push the button to unfurl the drive) on the outside of the case, it have a button of its own. Without removing this, it is difficult to insert the DVD-R drive. I have thought just about just popping the piece of plastic rotten of the front of the case, but consequently it wouldn't really match the other CD-RW/DVD drive. Is here a better way to stir about doing this?
How should I step around installing my internal DVD burner?
I have the same problem accumulation a DVD/CD drive into my Sony case. There be a built-in button panel already there, and the spanking new drive would butt into the panel. Mine wouldn't just pop out, so I in recent times took a narrow bladed hacksaw blade and sawed that finicky panel out, and then mounted the drive. Granted, it doesn't contest the other CD drive, but I'm not entering the notebook in a make-up contest, so I don't care around the esthetics of the install. Good luck.
The DVD burner should fit perfectly contained by the case. There is no passageway it cannot fit, otherwise you should put the DVD burner from the inside to out.
