Change the jumper settings of the primary hdd to that of master

Change the pullover settings of the new hdd to that of slave



Connect the facts and power cables to the tentative hdd ( Make sure that you have ample power and ide ports available)



Switch on your system.



The hdd should be detected automatically . Else use device chief to add the fresh hardware.
