I hold a Wii and I am planning on purchasing a SD card and reader. On my PC, I have a bunch of TV episodes I capture. They are all .avi files. From the research I enjoy made, I discovered that only .avi files that will work within the Photo Channel are files that are in OpenDML compliant MotionJPEG (MJPEG) format. So how do I know if the files I own on my PC are that format?
How I do know if my .avi files are MJPEGs?
AVI files are Mpeg4, They will not work in a decoder that can lone read Mpeg or up to Mpeg 3.
In order for you to read these AVI vid files you will entail to upgrade your player so it can read Mpeg4
Hope this helped you out.

www.Doom9.org have a program somewhere on there call "GSpot Codec Information Appliance" that gives you info on AVI files.
