Look the motherboard up on the manufacturer's website, or type the form + model number into a search engine, but for the Intel Core2 Duo it should be equipped to knob "Socket 775" processors + the Intel 965P / Intel 975X chipset
you need to find the clear and manufacturer of your motherboard, jump to the manufactures website and see what processors are compatible near it...
First off, you stipulation to know which motherboard you're running and then you can look up the specs through the manufacturer website to see compatibility. If you're running a name brand laptop, like a Dell or HP, you'll hold to go to their site and track down the specs for that model # laptop, then you'll know how to find compatibility.
